Hosting a Bridal Shower Out of State: Is it Acceptable?

We live in California.  My daughter is getting married in Ohio in June.  Do to
the distance - few of our (and Her) friends will be invited to the wedding.  A
good friend of mine would like to host a shower for her in CA.  Is this OK to
do?  I understand that typically only those invited to a wedding are invited to
the shower.

Hi,

Our company handles destination weddings for couples outside of the United States.  We do have allot of couples who live elsewhere and who have their bridal showers in different cities.  There are some that have parents in different citys and states.  So I have never seen a problem with that for any of our couples over the past 8 years working in this industry.
