AnswerHi there,
it sounds like you are a typical pear shape. That's not uncommon for women. Unfortunately, when our bodies burn fat we can't choose where they burn it from. It's taken from everywhere, not from one place.
It's good that you are exercising consistently, but your eating pattern will not only prevent fat loss, but harm your body if it's continued long term. When we eat too little our bodies sense that they are not getting what they need, and they start to shut down. When this happens the ability to burn fat decreases tremendously. The longer we under eat the longer it will take for the body to be able to burn fat efficiently. Also, not eating enough is harmful tot he body is so many ways. Our bodies perform thousands of functions every day that we are not even aware of. Many of those functions are not able to take place properly if we are not feeding the body. The long term consequences of not eating enough can be horrible.
My recommendation is to start eating more, but do so very slowly. I would not want you to start eating large amounts of food tomorrow, because you would gain fat. Slowly incorporate more foods in to your diet. Think about making an increase in the amount of food you are eating each week. Add in things your body may be going without, such as lean meats that are full of b vitamins and protein and nuts that are full of good fats and minerals. Most importantly, be patient with your body. In the long run if you can b on a healthy eating plan of 6 small, balanced meals a day and exercise regularly you WILL be able to see some fat loss. Good luck!
