Healthy Weight Gain During Pregnancy: What to Expect & How to Support It

I am 16 weeks pregnant and I have not gained any weight. In fact I have lost 1+1/2 pounds. I have not had morning sickness, at least for awhile, and am of average weight. Can you tell me what else I can include in my diet that will help? Should I cut back on exersize for awhile?

Don't worry, you will start to gain weight soon. Many women will not gain weight during the first trimester. After 16 weeks,you should start to gain. Eat a high protein, low carbohydrate diet with leavy vegetables and three glasses of milk per day. Continue to exercise. Good luck.
