Pap Smears and Virginity: What Doctors Can and Cannot Tell

when i women gets a pap smear can the doctors tell if she is a virgin? if so how?


Answer
If the hymen has been ruptured, the woman may not be a virgin. Although a hymen may be ruptured during gymnastics, horseback riding, injury, bicycle riding, etc.  A PAP smear cannot be performed with an intact hymen. HOwever, there is no way for a doctor to know if a woman ever had sex (unless she is pregnant).
