im 26 an have 1 boy of 6 my last period was febuary.im 4 an a half months pregnant an smoke about 3 joints of weed a day which is a big cut down from 10 a day.i just cant seem togiv up how much will this affect my unborn child at the moment everything is going really well.

The use of marijuana in pregnancy has produced conflicting reports on the length of gestation, the quality and duration of labor, fetal growth, congenital defects, and neurobehavior of the newborn.  Marijuana is associated with reduced fetal growth (weight and length). The possible association of mariuana exposure with acute nonlymphoblastic leukemia in children should be a major concern of any woman who chooses to use pot during pregnancy.  No pattern of malformations has been observed that could be considered characteristic of in utero  marijuana exposure. Studies are continuing. At this point, not much is known on the longterm effects of weed use during pregnancy on subsequent development of the child.
