Are there any secrets that actually work to naturally induce your own overdue labor?  I have started dilating but only about 1 cm, what can I do to speed this along?

When the baby is ready to go into labor, there will be a release of prostaglandins and labor will start. When you have contractions occurring every 3 minutes (from the beginning of one to the beginning of the next) and each lasts for a full minute, and all of this continues for an hour, you probably will start to dilate past 1cm. Walking and steps sometimes help as well, as does intercourse with ejaculation. Semen contains prostaglandiins. Good Luck.
