Safe Seafood Choices During Pregnancy: A Comprehensive Guide

Question
22 and I'm 6 weeks. What seafood is safe to eat?

Answer
If you are pregnant, you should eat no more than 12 oz of a variety of fish per week. No more than 6oz of these should be albacore tuna. This is to avoid high levels of mercury in the fish.  You can, however, eat fish that are low in mercury, such as shrimp, canned light tuna, salmon, pollock, and catfish. Do not eat shark, swordfish, king mackerel,or tile fish (which has high levels of mercury). Dp not avoid all fish. Fish and shellfish helps develop good cardiovascular health and good development of the fetus.
