When your water breaks does water come running down ur leg?..

Hi Jerlean,

well, yes and no. It may gush out in a big amount, or it may trickle slowly.  Water does not always break in a pregnancy- mine never did and it always had to be broken in the hospital.

if the baby is very high up in the uterus and in the mother, the water may gush out and be very noticeable.

if the baby is lower down and its head is "engaged," it may block the opening to the cervix and the water can just trickle out.

if you are concerned that your water broke, you should call your doctor right away.
