QuestionHi i am 5 weeks pregnant and only found out 6 days ago i sort of knew in myself before that that i was but i have completely stopped doing anything that can harm my baby however i have still had the odd cup of tea that i didn't know had the same amount of caffeine as coffee has i have now cut caffeine completely out of my diet but due to this i find myself having splitting headaches and because i changed my diet almost completely overnight i am having tummy pains and feel drained all the time am i hurting my baby? or will i harm myself? am i better off doing it slowly or shall i just stick it out now?
AnswerYou can drink up to two cups of coffee every day. This amount of coffee should not harm you or the baby. If you feel craving for more coffee then you can switch to decaf. And tea is entirely harmless in pregnancy. So you can drink as much tea as you want.
