Uterus Not Palpable at 13 Weeks Gestation: What Could It Mean?

I am G2 P1 L1 A1 with 13 weeks of gestation.LMP is 01/01/11 Today my doctor said that uterus is not palpable. But my last scan was fine, visible fetal heart etc. My age is 28 and weight is 68kg not obese.Please is it normal or abnormal.Thanks in advance.

At 13 weeks the uterus should be palpable. Were you able to hear the heartbeat at this 13th week visit? If yes, it could be that the doctor simply didn't palpate deeply enough. (Palpation is a difficult skill.) If no heartbeat was heard, further blood tests could help determine what, if anything, is wrong.
