Questioni am 59 yrs old recent progesterone showed <0.1 it was included with other lab work, doctor office called and said all lab work normal , how could this be considered normal i am have some issues , sleep problem for years,irribility at times and nervenous also at time any chance these are related. thanks
AnswerHi Joyce, I'd be glad to try and answer your question. Progesterone is a female hormone. I'm not sure why your doctor ordered this test for you, but at menopause, the ovaries stop producing progesterone, so your result of less than 0.1 probably means that you are postmenopausal.
