Understanding Egg Size and Ovulation: A Medical Perspective

I have my periods on 10/8/2008. there is formation of egg but the egg size become 25mm on 23/8/2008. will it be safe to get pregnant with this size of egg. what should be normal egg size

Dear Sanjay,

Thank you for your question.  The 25 mm size on cycle day # 16 is what I would expect the follicle size to be at the time of ovulation.  So, it is normal and not worrisome.  You should be having intercourse or inseminations now.
