High Estradiol (E2) Levels in IVF: What Does It Mean?
QuestionI was on Follistim (200) and Menopur (75) for 4 days. My sonograms showed approximately 13 eggs, and all other conditions seemed optimal. MY labs surprisingly came back with an E2 level of 675. My RE was surprised that I had a high response because I am 40 years old. She stopped the Follistim and Menopur and put me on Loestrin for 5 days. I go back for labs and sonogram tomorrow. What are the chances that we can resume this cycle? What should my E2 level have been? THanks for your help.
AnswerHello,
I'm sorry that I cannot tell you what your E2 level should have been, only your doctor can answer that question as it varies. The loestrin is a birth control pill, likely given to supress you as youe responding so well and the E2 is high. Depending on your response to that, you should hopefully be able to resume. Good luck!
