Conceiving After Laparoscopy: Chances & Timeline

Question
I am having irregular periods right from first, diagonised pcod 2 yrs back, under medication for 1 yr for ovulation conceived but got miscarried due to undevoled embryo for 8 wks, later PCOD reverted back, under gone Laproscopy 10 days back, what are the chances of conceiving and when can i try for pregnancy? what are the chances of Reverting PCOD.

Answer
Hello,

This is almost exactly the same as a previous question.  Once you have surgery, you have to wait at least 8 weeks before trying again.  That is because the inflammation caused by the surgery can prevent pregnancy.  You can certainly try sooner but it is unlikely to be successful.

In terms of your chances, it is age dependent, but they should be as good as they were previously.  You will probably need to undergo ovulation induction again to help.  PCOD is not a curable abnormality.
