QuestionQUESTION: Hi,
I've been in Menopause over 2 years now (since Aug. 2007). I'm 48 years old. Two weeks ago, I had all the symptoms of ovulation and now today I had bloody show, just like during pregnancy. It's completely impossible that I'm pregnant. Do you have an idea of what may be going on with my body?
I saw my GYN and had a Pap Smear a few months ago and it was fine.
Thank you for your help. :)
ANSWER: Hello Sue from the U.S.,
Certainly the bleeding that you had was not normal. There are many possibilities so I can't give you a specific answer, but you should go back and see your gynecologist again. He/She will want to make sure that there is nothing bad going on. It could be something as simple as a cervical polyp.

QUESTION: I had a slight bit of blood for 3 days. Since this happened, I haven't had any more hot flashes. I had them for 8 years. Any comment on what's going on?
Thank you!
AnswerHello Again,
I'm afraid that I still don't have enough specific information to answer your question. You definitely should have hormonal testing done, an ultrasound and possibly a hysteroscopy (to evaluate the uterine cavity). Your gynecologist will need to determine this. I would recommend that you make an appointment.
Hot flashes do go away on their own after a while.
