QuestionI am a 27 year old female, I have had IBS for about 10 years. Every once in a while I get it really bad, the worse symptom is having to urinate ALL THE TIME! I have been to the Dr. thinking that I have a UTI, I never do.
When this happens I am gassy,bloated, have to have bowel movements alot and I adventually feel chilled and I potty all the time. It last days. Any advice? The Dr. does not seem to have answers, thanks.
AnswerIt sounds like more than simple IBS... often there is some urge incontinence associated with IBS... the bladder is kinda twitchy along with the colon. The meds often help, like Detrol, Ditropan for the bladder (and others) or Bentyl (dicycomine) for the bowels... Since you don't have chronic infections, I would try some of the meds and see if one of them will help your symptoms. Hope this helps.....
