Persistent External Yeast Infections: Causes, Treatments & Relief

Question
I've been having reaccuring problems with external yeast infections for a year now and I've gone to the gynocologist many times and he has checked me for everything and I have nothing showing as far as internally.  Everytime I take Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment USP it feels better for like a week and then it comes back ... I don't know what to do.  I haven't had sex with my husband in many months because of this.   Please help me!

Answer
laura;

well there are a few thing i think you should try;

take 500 milligrams of vitamin C twice a day. vitamin C increases the acidity of the vagina,creating a yeast-unfriendly environment.

take the scratch test-if your infections persist,you may be allergic to candida,and allergy shots of candida extract can help prevent further problems. ask your doctor to refer you to a board-certified allergist for skin testing.

plan your prevention-any vaginal irritation can pave the way for yeast infection. trhats why it helps to avoid any vagina/chemical contact,including perfumes,colored toilet paper,dyed underpants,deodorants and commercial sexual lubricants.to prevent yeast flare-ups,laundering your clothes with unscented detergents,avoiding fabic softners and wearing loose-fitting cotton clothing-white cotton underwear and no pantyhose.

i hope this helps;
