Chemical Burns vs. Submergible Burns: Risks & Misdiagnosis

Question
can a chemical burn be misdiagnosed for a submersable burn and what are the differences In other words if a highly concentrated Disinfectant cleaner  was exposed on a pullup diaper in a car floor board but averything had dried out it was aweek later if the pullup was used and wet on by a child could he get a burn from it? the chemical in question is Lysol I.C. Quaternary Disinfectant Cleaner .

Answer
typically a submersible burn involves the buttocks and spares the front because the child gets out immediately.  A burn from a diaper containing a lye cleaner would probably be all over.  Lye burns are bad because they continue to burn even when they have been repeated washed off.  I am not sure if that is what this cleaner is, but usually grease cutting cleaners are lye based.  Yes, it could be misdiagnosed but could be differentiated by a biopsy or real careful inspection...
