Mercury Fillings and Neurological/Chest Pain: A Potential Connection?

Question
QUESTION: I had my 5 mercury fillings removed, in September.  After that time I developed tingling in my hands, feet, face and sometimes legs.  This has some what disappeared, with some tingling still in my left foot.  However, I now am experiencing pain in my chest - can this all be related to the mercury in the fillings?  I have had an EKG, blood tests and a stress test.

ANSWER: That is a controversy... some zealots feel that these fillings cause tremendous problems.... but they were used so much that realistically, some people might have adversely reacted to them but most people didn't..... at this point, if they are out, then you should have no symptoms related to the fillings that are new......

QUESTION: Any idea what these symptoms could be from?  thank you

Answer
tingling in arms and legs and face may have multiple causes... heavy metal poisoning is one, but is low on the list.... I would look at basic tests such as a cbc, chem 7 and thyroid tests first, possibly B12 levels, look for possible medication reactions also.  The list of causes is long for these non-specific symptoms.  good luck with it....
