Fetal Movement at 29 Weeks Pregnant: Is It Normal?

Question
I am 29 weeks pregnant with my third child. My last baby was born in February 2006, just 9 1/2 months ago.  With my current pregnancy, at 20 weeks & 24 weeks they baby shown to be normal and healthy... all systems checking out ok. The fetal movement that I am feeling is all very low in my abdomen and pelvic area. Is this normal? It almost feels like she is digging her own tunnel out. I will be going to a Dr Appt on 11/30/06. It just seems that all the movement is very low in region, just wondering if this can be blamed on the closeness of my pregnancies. I sometimes feel like she is about to fall out when I stand after sitting for a long period.

Answer
This sounds very normal.  It won't be long before you start feeling more movement higher up, but you may still feel quite a bit of movement lower down right up until the end.  I recall feeling like I was getting punched in my cervix during my second pregnancy.  It's not necessarily how close your pregnancies are, just the position and activity level of your baby.  The falling-out feeling could just be that your ligaments are a little looser for this second pregnancy.

Enjoy your pregnancy, and happy birthing!
