QuestionHello, I'm 38 weeks and 4 days. This is my fourth baby.I was admitted to the hospital Monday night with contractions only to be discharged the following morning due to labor stalling.I was 5 cm when I went in and went to 6cm and 50% effaced. I was wondering if this was safe for my daughter and me?
And does this mean labor is coming soon and also what happens if my water breaks?

By now it's likely that you have had your baby and I hope everything went well.
Just in case you are still pregnant though:
It is not unsafe that they sent you home and it's possible you could even still be pregnant past your due date. However it does mean that when labor actually does start, it will probably be a very short labor. I would suggest that you go to the hospital as soon as you know you're in labor or if your water breaks.
