I just started taking the pill, Aviane, and I started it the day I had
my period.  I was wondering how long do I wait to be sure I can
have unprotected sex?

Check your pill packet for their information, and follow what that says.

A good rule of thumb is to use a back up method the first week of your first pack. Some women prefer to use a back up for the first month, just to be safe. Your pill packet should tell you if there is any waiting period.
