Managing Your Period While on Birth Control: A Patient Inquiry

Hello,
I have been taking ortho tri-cyclin for a few months now.  I am supposed to have my period on a week that i will be travleing and it will be very inconvienent and almost impossible to deal with.
is there any way i can skip the dark blue pills and go straight to the green ones so i will be able to have my period sooner?

Thanks for your question. I am not a medical doctor so I suggest that you consult your own physician. I do have a lot of knowledge on the subject. I'm not sure about ortho tri-cyclin in particular or the blue and green pills. I think what you are telling me is not the correct way to take the pills. You need to take the medication according to the directions or it will not work properly.
