Early Period While on Birth Control: What to Do?

I've been taking Alesse for about 10 months and have never had a problem with it. However, after returning to college, this month, my period came a week early. I have been taking my pill regularly and have not missed a dose. I was just wondering if I should just take the placebo pills when my period ends or if I should start a new pack.

I am not a medical doctor so I would suggest that you ask your physician about your personal situation. I would think that you should take the pills in the correct way and order so that they will be most effective. If you don't take them the correct way according to the directions, your body would possibly not cycle normally. Have you had any side effects from the pill so far? I was on the pill some years ago and did some research and went off the pill and would not recommend this method of birth control.
