Ortho Tri-Cyclin & Mood Changes: Potential Side Effects and Relationship Impact

My girlfriend went on Ortho Tri-Cyclin about 5.5 months ago.  About a month later, she broke up with me claiming she no longer had strong feeling for me and felt "numb".  We got back together and things didn't get much better.  She was emotionally all over the place, saying how she wanted to marry me one second, and the next being completely distant.  I think that the pill has caused depression, and made her a little unstable.  We had been dating for 4 years, and the last 5 months she has not been herself at all.  She is only into "herself" and drinking with her friends.  She says this is the only time she is happy.  She claims she is just going through  selfish phase, but this has cost us a very serious relationship.
