Birth Control and Mood Changes: Is Your Dosage Too High?

Question
I have been taking birth control, Ortho Novum for 6 months now, and my
emotions have never been worse. I do understand that hormones are released
and when taking birth control it will effect your mood, but the past 6 months
I have never been more unhappy or stressed or emotional. It is VERY unlike
me, especially when I am a very happy person and I have everything going for
me. I went to a doctor and they said that it wasn't depression.... then asked
what type of birth control I am taking. Are different birth controls less strong,
or do different pills effect you differently, ie emotions.

Answer
Pills affect different women differently. Some women can tolerate any pill, others have to adjust the pill and dosage. Go to the person who prescribed the pill for you and tell them your story. They should be able to find something more suited to your needs.
