Understanding the Emotional Impact of Abortion

how could some one murder their own flesh and blood? what does  it take to end such an innocent life? how do people deal with the after effects of aborting their child?

Answer
Some are not seemingly cold-hearted and are sad at the choice they make.
I'm sure that many do not focus on the child being just that, a child, a new human.  It's possible to put up with bad choices better if one does not focus on what is really occurring.  
Some people deal with the aftereffects of abortion with regret, crying, counseling, and even recovery.  Some realize later that it was wrong and have to forgive themselves or seek forgiveness from God.
It's a sad situation.
