Irregular Periods & Potential Pregnancy: What to Expect at Your Gynecologist Visit

Hi my name is Ale and im about to turn 18 in one month. I have irregular periods so just being late for me isnt enough of a sympton...truth is im still not sure that im pregnant or if i even want to get one. The information ive read to this point scares me. I have an appointment with my gyno for the first time in 2 weeks and im not sure if i should call before my appointment and let them know of the chance? Will she be able to tell through the examination if i am?
