Answer
Hello, frietzie,

Occasionally, they'll do a vacuum aspiration and not get both babies. If you still have one of the twins, don't do anything more. Abortion is dangerous and can kill you. Get some really good medical care. But don't go back to the person who gave you the abortion. That person has poor medical judgment, and apparently doesn't care whether he hurts women or not. Abortion can kill a woman, and it can hurt her future children. You are also now at much greater risk of getting breast cancer if she got both babies. This type of breast cancer is very deadly and kills 1/4 of its victims. If you have a close relative who has had breast cancer, you are almost certain to get it. It strikes women while they are still young, even in their 30's. Your abortionist probably did not tell you what the risks were, and did not obtain your informed consent. Abortion is unethical because of the harm it causes. Medically, you will almost certainly be better off if you carry one of the babies to term. But you will need to go to a really decent doctor who is knowledgeable, and that doctor may need to fasten your cervix shut for awhile. Abortion can cause birth defects in future children, and even in the one you may still be carrying. These can include cerebral palsy, epilepsy, mental retardation, autism, blindness, and deafness. You could also lose the baby through miscarriage. There is also the chance you were injured in other ways, so you need a thorough checkup no matter what the pregnancy test says. It is possible that 3 weeks from now, you'll still have a positive test, but if both babies were taken, it won't be very strong.
