Understanding Missed Abortion and Irregular Bleeding: A Doctor's Explanation

Dear Dr, i got married by 27.11.2010, i was pregnant in the month of march confirmed as 4 weeks on 18.03.10, 7th week fetal was normal with heart beat , when i went for 12th weeks scan they said no heart beat & heart beat stopped by 9th week 5 days ,confirmed by TV scan.. and suggested to suction vacuum & D&C, same done on 20.05.10.. I had bledding for 15 days later i was normal and again i got my periods on 20.06.10 , next month also i got periods on 20.07.10.. but on 04.08.10 i started spotting, it continued till 14.08.10.. i consulted a gnc she told me to take Deviry tablet for 21 days after said perod i should stop the tablet to get periods  and  and told this is harmone imbalance post abortion, continue same procedure for 3 months.. till now i m taking deviry 10mg dialy , still i m getting spotting sometime.. some time it bleeds...  will i get normal after 3 months procedure.. Pls suggest.

Deviry is progesterone 10 mg.  We usually do not prescribe it for 3 months.  We usually have you take it 10 days each month to start withdrawal bleeding.  Your doctor may be trying to stabilize and build up your uterine lining.  Spotting can happen if yu are taking it daily.
