Cuticle Oil & Silk Wraps: Can You Use Them Together?

can i continue to use cuticle oil when silk wraps are on my finger nails? will it cause the wraps to lift?

Hi

Cuticle oil should be used religiously with ALL types of nail enhancements.  It will NOT cause them to lift. In fact, it will prevent the product from overdrying and therefor, less likely to lift/chip or crack.  It will also aid in keeping your own natural nail pliable and healthy, and should you 'whack' your nail, it will bend with the product as opposed to breaking (however does not prevent breaks due to severe pressure to the enhancement)
Cuticle oil should be used 2 times a day, every day. More, if you have VERY dry skin.

Lifting is caused by MANY sources.
Some of which include
- over exposure to water (use gloves for household cleaning et)
- exposure to innapropriate substances (household cleaning products)  A good rule of thumb is "if you wouldn't put it on your face, don't put it on your hands without gloves".
- over exposure to alcohol (or even antibacterial gel if you use it several times a day).
- poor application by the nail tech
- poor maintenance by the client and the product is old (refills should be every 2 - 3 weeks, no longer).
- poor health and/or particular medications taken daily
- excessively oily skin or hair (which means nail plate will be oily too) HOWEVER this is not the same type of oil as found in cuticle oil
