Sugaring Struggles: Why It Might Not Be Working (and How to Fix It)

Hi,

I am a young man and I am sugaring or waxing for the first time and I am doing it by myself. I bought a sugaring kit from the store, read the complete instructions, read extensively on the internet and what not.

Still after trying for hours and in different ways, I still couldnt remove even a single strand of hair!!!  

Note that I have followed every procedure to the letter, including hair being 1/4 inches, direction of application and removal etc.
Waxing at salons could have solved the problem, but I am shy so waxing at the salon is totally not in the option.
Btw, the kit came with some cellophane strips-- I dont know if it has anything to do with not working.

My Question is:
Why isnt hair removing and what do I do?

I have never tried sugaring myself but have had some problems with waxing and hair removal creams. I think though this is because I have blond hair - not a lot of courseness to stick to. My brother was having this problem and Veet hair removal cream worked really well.
