Answer
Hey hi there, thanks so much for the picture and your question.

I have a few suggestions that you could try.

I'll start with the easiest, which is concealer, and one of the thicker foundations.

The trick is to get one exactly matching your natural skin tone but there are products that help to hide scars and marks that are really effective. I'd possibly try a pharmacy instead of the regular beauty clinics, as they tend to hold products that have more substance and depth. However, failing that, I use Dream Satin Liquid by Maybelline, which claims an air brushed finish.  It's certainly one of the more effective foundations I've found although it doesn't give skin much breathing room.

The other slightly more drastic suggestion is to have a chat with a plastic or cosmetic surgeon.  Make sure that your initial consultation is free and with either the surgeon or a qualified cosmetic nurse though.

Solutions might include injectable fillers but I think to get it as flat as you'd like it to be the surgeon might look at adapting that small area to make it less visible. This might involve a small operation, provided under local anaesthetic, so you would still be awake during it.

I cannot say for definite if an operation would completely remove the mark but that, and the concealing make-up would certainly get closer to the result you are looking for.  I did this for a mark I also have on my face very similar to yours.

I know the mark is causing you concern but please remember that other people don't notice things that worry us anywhere near as much as we think they will.  As well as the suggestions above, try and draw attention to areas that you are confident with to move focus to where you'd like it to be. For example, you have such lovely brown eyes. You could try a green eye shadow and a soft brown eyeliner. People will be looking at your eyes and not thinking about anything else.

I hope that helps.

The best of luck with finding the solution that works best for you,

Take care, Claire
