Effortless Splatter Nail Art: A Step-by-Step Guide with Visuals

This is a very easy to do nail art and you will feel like you have given your hands a lovely professional Manicure once you are done. Not just that, you must have seen that it is sometimes very difficult to do nail art on the right hand, but with this splatter technique, it is very easy to achieve it.

Splatter Nail Art Tutorial

This is a multi coloured nail art for all you colour lovers! So let’s not waste any more time and get set go with this nail art designs.

Things You Will Need:

• A base coat (Optional)
• A matte white nail polish (I am using Gaits Matte White)
• Some selective colours of nail polish viz.

A Yellow (Amarelo Sol Colorama)
A Blue (Blue Bell from Revlon Street Wear)
An Orange (Sydney from Tips and Toes)
A Fuchsia (Metro Girl from Revlon Street Wear)
An Aqua Blue Colour (Oceanic Blue from Revlon Street Wear)
A Red Colour (Chicago from Tips and Toes)

• Top coat
• Nail Art Brush
• Cello tapes or a toothpick with a cotton head for cleanup
• Nail Polish Remover
• A plastic bottle cap or a palette to thin colours

Stepwise Tutorial:

Step 1:

Paint your nails with a basecoat. Follow with 2 coats of matte white polish.

Step 2:

Cut 3 small pieces of tape and wrap around the nail so that the colour doesn’t spread when you start the splatter process. You can avoid this if you are good with the cleanup using a cotton bud.

Step 3:

Now take a bottle cap and pour 2 drops of nail polish remover in it. Then add a drop of your favourite blue polish. Mix it quickly with the nail art brush. Now take the nail polish applicator or your nail art brush, and dip it into the thinned bit of blue polish in the palette or bottle cap and pat the drops on to the nail from at least 2 inches above the nail. Repeat this step for the rest of the fingers.

Step 4:

Clean the container or palette and do the same with the next colour. Follow with another colour. After Blue, Yellow and Orange it looks like this:

Step 5:

Carefully remove the tapes. Wrap a piece of cotton on to the needle head of the tooth pick. Dip it into polish remover and clean any traces of splatter polish on your hands.

Step 6:

Your splatter nail art is ready. Apply a nice layer of top coat to seal in your lovely design.
