Read below to know how you can do monochromatic nail art using scotch tape:

Things You Will Need:

  • Orange nail polish
  • White nail polish
  • Black striper nail art pen
  • Scotch tape
  • Top coat
  • Base coat

Stepwise Tutorial:

Step 1:

First prep your nails by removing any old nail polish and filing them if needed. After this apply your basecoat and let it dry. Now apply your base colour in white.

Step 2:

Let your base colour dry completely so that it won’t get smudged when you use the scotch tape. Also if the base colour is not dried completely then when you try to remove the scotch tape, it will come out with it thus ruining your manicure.

Step 3:

Now add scotch tape to your nails as shown in the picture.

Step 4:

Keep a scotch tap which is a little bit bigger than your nails so that you don’t face any difficulties in removing it later on.

Step 5:

Now add orange color nail polish to nails as shown.

Step 6:

Now remove the scotch tape while the orange paint is still wet and wait for it dry. Now add black lines on the white portion of the nails with a black striper nail art pen.

Step 7:

Let the lines dry completely and then apply generous amount of top coat to smoothen out any extra bumps. Now you are good to go.

You can also do this manicure by adding different colours instead of orange or you may paint them similarly instead of doing them differently on all nails. You can add polka dots too instead of stripes.
