“Cup cakes” the name itself excites your taste buds. It is a sinfully delicious dessert, which one will definitely not turn down. But why is it that this dessert is so popular, taste excluded? It is a symbol of something out of the ordinary happening. And a hope that something fun is in store! Then why should we only eat it? Why not paint it on our nails too?
If you haven’t done it yet, then we will show you an easy step by step tutorial on how to make beautiful and yummy looking cup cake design nails. The moment you see them, you will feel like munching on them.
Basically we will concentrate on strawberry cup cake, blue berry cup cake and orange cup cake. You can create other coloured cup cakes too like a yellow cup cake for a lemon flavour or a brown cup cake for a chocolate flavour.
So let’s see how to create this cupcake nail art in simple steps.
If you are using a base coat then use 2 coats of base coat on to the nails before starting this design. Now after the base coat has dried up, use 2 coats of skin colour nail polish like Victoria by tips and toes or a similar colour. You can also use white nail polish. This is just to make the base more opaque. Let it dry completely before moving on to step 2.
Now paint up your nails like shown above with the nail polishes in different colours. Try to move the nail polish brush in such a way that there is a slight curvature at the top of the colours.
Use white acrylic colour with a nail art brush to make the top of the cup cakes. You can do this with a white nail polish too. Take the blunt end of the toothpick and take a bit of colour on it. Give some jointed dots to make the curvature of the cup and the white cake on top of it looks more alive and real.

Take the nail art brush and paint up lines with light pink and white nail polish for the magenta cup cakes, light purple and white for the purple cup cakes and yellow and white for the orange cup cake. Let this whole structure dry.

After it is dried completely, take transparent polish and apply on to the whole of the nails. Do one nail at a time. Immediately take the toothpick and dip its sharp end on to a bit of transparent polish and take caviar beads one by one and place them properly to look like tutti fruties on the cup cake. Repeat the process for the other cup cakes too. You may again apply another top coat but if your caviar beads are not good quality then with a top coat on top they will bleed.
