Winter Blue Eye Makeup Tutorial: Glamorous & Colorful

Whether you are headed out to a formal meet, a glamorous night out or a special celebration, the perfect eye makeup can add that extra dash of style to your overall look.

Most of you may have already tried out one of the most popular eye makeup looks – the smokey eye. Now it is time to give it a different and colourful twist. This blue eye makeup, combined with the smokey eye look, is perfect for the winter and cool seasons.

Things you will need to create the look:

  • Blue eye shadow (you can choose any blue eye shadow of your choice)
  • Purple eye shadow (you can choose any purple eye shadow of your choice)
  • Silver highlighter (you can easily use a silverfish or whitish or even champagne shade from any of your eye shadow palette)
  • Purple liquid liner (in case you do not have a liquid liner in this shade, you can also try using a purple eye liner pencil)
  • Brown or black pencil liner
  • White or silver pencil liner

Most of the above mentioned products can be substituted with similar products in case you do not have them at home. Try getting the substitutes as closer to the product mentioned here as possible.

Procedure

Step 1:

  • Make sure you clean your eye lids properly to get rid of any impurities or previous makeup. This will help you get the desired shade and look once your eye makeup is complete
  • Use an eye lid primer to prep up the skin on your eye lids

Now apply some concealer and then foundation to the eye area.

Step 2:

  • Use a purple eye shadow to cover the complete crease area of the eye.
  • Blend it well.
  • Make sure that you pull the eye shadow towards the brow bone area.

Step 3:

  • Cover 2/3rd area of the eyelid with a silver eye shadow
  • Start applying the silver eye shadow from the inner corner, from the side of the nose (including the area just above the inner eye tear duct area) up to the middle area of the eyelid.

Step 4:

  • Take a light blue or neon blue eye shadow and cover the remaining 1/3rd area of the eye lid, starting from the outward side.
  • Follow the same steps for the lower rim.

Step 5:

  • You can use a white or silver eye pencil on the lower lid rim.

Step 6:

  • Gently apply either a brown or black eye pencil liner below the white lining of the lower rim.

Step 7:

  • Use a liquid purple eye liner on the top lash line.
  • In case you do not have a liquid liner in the same shade, you can also use an eye liner or eye shadow pencil in a similar colour

Step 8:

  • To curl the lashes, you can either apply a heavy coat of mascara on your lashes, or use fake eyelashes.
  • Make sure you use an eye lash curler to complete the entire look
