1. Prepare Accordingly:

Preparing your eyes before applying eye makeup is as essential as adding marshmallows to your hot chocolate. Select a good moisturizer, like Borghese Fluido Protettivo Advanced Spa Lift for Eyes and moisturize your eyes to keep your makeup looking smooth. Once moisturized, flick a small amount of ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer into the entire eyelid right before applying your eye shadow.

Tip: Moisturizer and primer are magical if you ask us. Not only do they have the power to make your eye shadow stay on all day but also make the colors more vibrant. Double-duty always wins!

2. Smoky-ing Hot:

After the primer, take a thin brush, we prefer Urban Decay Good Karma Liner Brush and flick on a warm and long-lasting muted tone, like an orange MAC Rule Eyeshadow, just above your eyelids. Now, take the same building colour and create a soft “C” shape at the outer corner of your lash line to add an extra edge. Use Kleenex just in case you need to wipe off any excess.

Once done, clean the brush and apply a light matte brown NYX Nude Matte Shadow in Betrayal eye shadow over the upper eyelid. Now tap the excess shadow off your brush until you blend out harsh lines and perfectly create a smoky effect. Make sure to blend it upwards so it keeps your eyes lifted.

3. Highlight Your Eyelids:

On the eyelids, give extra depth by highlighting the center of your lid with the NYX I Dream of St. Lucia Eyeshadow Palette, a dramatic and attention-drawing shimmery orange shade that will help reflect the light and can help keep your eyes bright.

4. Wing It Out:

For the last step; build your eyes wild using a black eyeliner like a Shu L’Oréal Paris Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner and stroke it from the bottom of your lash line right up. Follow the lining on the inner rims of your eyes with a matte black eye shadow, like Nars Eyeshadow in Coconut Grove.

Once done, create an almond eye just over your upper lid with a sleek and long-lasting Rimmel London Professional Liquid Eyeliner.

5. Let Out A Roar:

Now comes the most important step – tiger prints!

To add that little detailed stripes, take your black Rimmel London Professional Liquid Eyeliner and stroke abstract stripes over the outer corner of your lid. You could further add a Givenchy Magic Khol Eye Liner Pencil In White crayon so that it gives your design an authentic tiger effect. Now take a fluffy brush (tryGloTools Eye Base Brush) and finish off the look by lightly applying an Urban Decay Eyeshadow In Darkhorse shadow. This will ensure the longevity of your look.

6. Curling It:

Finally, lashes! Our favourite makeup tool – because it is easy to do, less time-consuming and make a high impact. Voila!

So for an effective and gentle curl, use a Bobbi Brown Eyelash Curler Gentle Curl and clamp it together near the roots. Then hold the curler for 20-30 seconds, once done you can remove the curler out from the tips with decreasing pressure and you are good to go.

7. Don’t Miss The Lash:

A tiger-eye is incomplete without the finishing touch: thicker and fuller lashes. So make those eyes pop by batting your lashes with Rimmel London Wonder’Lash Mascara with Argan Oil. Totally dramatic!

So take a walk in the wild side with this easy to DIY tiger eyes and let us know if you have any suggestions. We value your feedback.
