Preparing food at home is a passion of mine for many reasons. For one, I think food just tastes better when you make it yourself. Secondly, you save LOADS of money by cooking and baking at home. I know it’s convenient to walk around the store and buy pre-packaged food, but you spend so much more money when you do that. For example, a 3 ounce bag of apple chips cost $4, but you can purchase an entire 3 pound bag of conventional apples for only $5, or 2 pounds of organic apples for the same price. When you make these homemade Air Fryer Apple Chips, you will get a lot more for your money than if you bought a bag of commercial ones.

As I mentioned earlier, it’s not all about saving money; it’s about the flavors of the food. These apple chips have the perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar to make them truly extraordinary. Plus, they are a perfect snack that you can feel good about your family eating. I should also mention they are easy to make and you don’t have to put in a ton of effort.
4 red apples, your choice of variety (I prefer Honeycrisp or Fuji)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Air fryer
1. Preheat air fryer at 390 degrees.

2. Mix cinnamon and sugar together.

3. Core apples. Slice apples about ⅛ inch thickness using a mandolin slicer (for best results).

4. Sprinkle apples with cinnamon and sugar.
5. Spray air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray. Place apples in a single layer on the air fryer basket.

6. Cook for 4 minutes and flip, cooking for another 4 minutes or until desired crispness is achieved.
7. Move apple chips to a cooling rack and repeat steps until all apples are cooked.

8. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy!
