Bees serve the ecosystem by pollinating from one place to another, but they can be pesky to have around the house. Bees are attracted to sugar, sweet smelling perfumes and flowers. Bee stings are of little consequence for most people, but they can be painful -- and even deadly -- for those with certain allergies. Removing the nest from your house can be challenging if the bees are active.
Identify where the bees are nesting; choose your means of elimination. Wear long pants and boots, a long-sleeved shirt, gloves and a mask.
Place dish soap around the outside of the nest. This creates a sticky barrier that prevents bees from escaping, and the chemicals kill them almost instantly. Perform this procedure at night, while the bees are resting.
Use pesticides formulated especially for bees. There are a variety of pesticides on the market. Follow the directions on the can for best results.
Use a fly swatter. This method will work best if you have a single bee present instead of a nest. Do not attempt to use a fly swatter to destroy a nest.
Spray bees with regular household cleansers. Tile cleaner and glass cleaner contain chemicals that kill bees.
