Stainless steel microwaves add a modern, professional touch to any kitchen. The non-porous stainless steel interior repels food stains and odors. Maintain your stainless steel microwave's mirrorlike shine with regular cleaning, especially after cooking foods that tend to splatter. A clean microwave interior will lead to better heating performance and a longer appliance life.
Add 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1/2 cup water to a microwave-safe bowl.
Place the bowl in the stainless steel microwave and heat it to a boil. Turn the microwave off, and leave the door shut for five to 10 minutes. During this time, the vinegar steam will loosen any food residue as it sits.
Open the microwave door and carefully remove the bowl and turntable.
Dampen a sponge or cloth with warm water and wring it out. Wipe the stainless steel interior to remove any food particles or residue. Dry the interior with a towel.
Place the turntable in the sink and wash it with a sponge and 1/2 tsp. dish soap. Rinse the turntable thoroughly and dry it with a towel.
Place the turntable back in the stainless steel microwave and shut the door.
