The Rainbow e Series cleaner is manufactured by Rexair. It utilizes the power of water to trap the dirt and dust particles you sweep up inside the basin, promoting cleaner air and eliminating the need for vacuum bags. With a removable water basin that needs to be filled before use, optional accessories that attach and considerably more set up than a standard vacuum cleaner, the Rainbow e series can seem a little intimidating to a new owner. Proper use will ensure your Rainbow produces optimal results.
Fill the water basin with cool tap water, just covering the water level dome that is in the center of the basin's bottom. You may add Rainbow Deodorizer Air Freshener to the water during this step, if desired.
Attach the power unit to the filled water basin. Place the basin on a flat surface, with the air intake up. Lower the power unit on to the water basin, aligning the basin's air intake opening with the air initial opening in the power unit. Secure the water basin latches on each side to attach the unit together.
Insert the hose coupling into the air intake opening. The intake will click when the hose is completely and correctly inserted.
Plug the electrical cord into a wall outlet, then move the power switch to the 'On' position. The power switch is located on top of the unit, and labeled with an 'I' for 'On' and an 'O' for 'Off.'
Adjust the airflow control sleeve on top of the curved wand if necessary by rotating it. Exposing the opening will reduce airflow, while closing the opening will provide the most power.
Connect the floor and wall brush to the bottom curved wand by aligning the wand's button lock with the guide on the brush collar, then sliding the button into the guide. The button will lock into place.
Align the button lock on the curved wand with the guide on the wand collar of the straight wand, and slide them together. Connect the straight wand to the bottom curved wand in the same manner.
Connect the assembled wand to the hose by pushing the end of the hose over the ridge of the curved handle wand until it snaps into place.
Use a sweeping motion to move the cleaning brush over the floors and walls you wish to clean.
Empty the water basin when the water becomes thick or when you are finished sweeping up debris. Release the side latches and remove the power unit. Lift the water basin and pour the water out through the air intake opening. Larger pieces of debris may settle in the bottom of the basin and should be removed by hand and disposed of.
Rinse the water basin out thoroughly to remove any remaining dirt. Dry completely and store separately from the power unit.
