QuestionI eat raw paleo, but need to expand my range of foods. I eat mostly grass fed beef.
What about local, wild caught, frozen seafood (octopus, squid, fish) ? Is it OK to eat
these raw?
Thanks RPG

AnswerYes, by all means. I have to say, though, that fresh is always better. I have not been at all bothered by prefrozen raw fish, but I was once disgusted by the taste of frozen scallops(then again, they might have had chemicals/preservatives added as well).
Raw shellfish, especially, have lots of trace minerals and vitamins which are really useful. I find I thrive better if I always have some raw shellfish along with my raw meats(say, 10-40% of my diet). I also have a preference for fatty, raw fish like mackerel or swordfish. They taste even better.
