Clear Liquid Diet for Colonoscopy: What You Can & Can't Eat

Hi Susan,

I need to fast on clear liquids 24 hours prior to a colonoscopy.  
I'm anxious about getting crazy hungry.  I've ordered a clear
liquid beverage, Enlive, made by the Ensure people.  Each can
has ten grams of protein.  I may also eat gelatin.  Do you have
any other suggestions for clear liquids that will help hold me for
24 hours?  How about broth?

Hi Sam,

Good for you for planning, I think you have the right ideas, but I haven't had one myself and I think you should get on the phone and ask. Make a list of what you want to know and start dialing, with your regular doctors office.
