Calorie Balance for Weight Loss: A Simple Guide

Dear Rapitis,

I learned that to loss weight I have to burn calories more than the amount of intake calories. Can you tell me easy way to measure how much I put calories in my body and how much I burn?

I don't have much time to exercise, a day in a week plus I don't really like exercise. Is there some exercise for people like me?

Hello Frans!

   Thank you for your nutrition question.  There is an easy way to measure your calorie intake.  Just visit http://www.fitday.com  When you get there it is free to register and it has an online computer program to keep track of how many calories you are taking in as well as how many you are burning.  I believe you will find it very helpful.  
   If you don't have time to exercise, you can make other lifestyle changes such as parking farther away in the parking lot, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and just taking a small walk for a half hour a day.  Small lifestyle changes can have a great impact after a period of time.  Hope this helps.
