Questionhello,
i wanted to ask a question to see if i'm on the right track as far as eating healthy goes. i've always been a pretty husky guy. i'm 23, and 5'10 224lbs. i do work out alot (within reason obviously), but i'm looking for additional suggestions for my diet, because I'm one of those people who has a hard time cutting down on portions, cause if I do I get quite a stomach ache. I just wanted to see if I'm doing well so far.
In the morning I start with a glass of OJ, followed by a bowl of cereal with skim milk, or a plate of eggs. Then for lunch I either eat a chicken salad, soup/sandwich, or something w/protein, and for dinner somewhat the same. As far as portions go I try to eat a little less at dinner b/c i've heard that can heart my weight loss efforts.
I rarely ever snack, and I only drink diet rite (because of its lack of sodium).
I've tried to cut down on dressings on salads, and alfredo sauce w/pasta...
my goal is to get down to about 200lbs...any other ideas?
thanks,
josh
AnswerHello Josh!
Thank you for your nutrition question. It sounds like you have a good eating plan. There are a few simple things you can do to improve it even more such as: eating small frequent meals, eating healthy snacks, and adding a good supplement to your eating plan.
One way to help increase your weight loss is to eat small frequent meals because this helps to speed up your metabolism(rate which you burn calories). It also helps to curb your appetite because you are not waiting as long to eat. In addition, try adding healthy snacks between meals such as a handful of almonds, cashews, cut up fruit, vegetable sticks and low-fat yogurt.
I also recommend that you try a supplement called Juice Plus which can be found on my website http://www.juiceblend.com It contains the nutrients from fresh and vegetables that help your body burn calories more efficiently. It can also help you crave healthier foods. Let me know if you have more questions.
