QuestionI am one of those compulsive eaters. I have been eating - all the time - for so long, I forgot what it should feel like to tell me when to eat.
A year ago, I slowly changed over my eating to fruits, vegetables, nuts, salads, chicken breast, etc. I further learned to eat tiny portions every 1-2 hours. But I have learned that my total CALORIES is as high as when I ate all the unhealthy foods before. I did not feel hungry, I just ate a total of too much food.
The closest thing I am guessing to hunger is; if I do not eat anything for an hour or 2, my stomach feels wrong. Tight? Growling? It is a suttle feeling, not sure exactly how to describe it. Funny thing is, if I eat a single almond, the funny feeling goes away. I would figure it would take more than ONE almond to take away hunger, but then again, I might be feeling someting else.
What do you think about what I should do?
AnswerTry eating when you first start to feel hungry, istead of just as a nervous habit.
Raw nuts, please, not roasted, except peanuts as they are a legume not a true nut.
One serving of chicken or other protein a day is all that is healthy.
Lots of plain water.
