QuestionI am a teenage gymnast and am building up my muscles in my stomach and my thighs by working out. I want my muscles to stand out a bit better, but. My first question is, should i lose weight to do this, or work out more? My second is, how much should i be eating and what? Thank you very much for your time.
AnswerHi Val,
I can't answer the weight/workout part by email, but I can tell you that you should be eating as soon as you start to feel hungry, when your brain can still help you make a good choice. Waiting until you are starving ends up with eating the first thing around and probably too much of it.
One serving of protein stuff a day, the size of your fist is plenty. The notion that meat=muslce is baloney, and too much meat does kidney damage.
Do all you can to get refined sugar and refined flour out of your life, and as much fresh produce as you want in. Also, drink lots of plain water.
