QuestionI am interested in purchasing the famed appetite suppressant "Hoodia", however I am completely at a loss in detecting the original product, since there are so many variations and I don't want to be scammed. Can you help me, I am a resident of Canada and I'd prefer not to purchase my product online, but in a health food store. What type of Hoodia should I get, by which manufacturer and what should I look for to determine that I am getting the authentic product. Thank you in advance.
AnswerVeda,
Unfortunately I cannot help you with this for 2 reasons. First, I don't know the answer and Second, because I do not recommend any appetite suppressants. They are a short term solution and are not sustainable. You will lose weight but will likely gain it back without lifestyle modification.
The best strategies are to stick to the fundamentals - eat a low glycemic diet, eat 5 small meals a day and exercise regularly. This is where you will get results.
If you simply eat less using an appetite suppressant your body will actually go into a mode where it stores energy more efficiently - meaning fewer calories will eventually add more weight. When you don't get enough calories you more efficiently store fat - it's a defensive response.
Eating the right kinds of calories in moderate amounts by balancing good fats, high fiber carbohydrates and lean protein is the best approach. If you combine this with exercise your body will drive more energy to muscle and less to fat.
Please reconsider going down the quick fix road.
