What's Really in a Hot Dog? Ingredients & Nutritional Facts

Question
what exactly are hot dogs made of? i heard stories about them just being filled with spices and meat. But, other stories have it that they're 40% fat and 20% random meat parts. The rest are pork. Can you tell me which one is true?

Answer
Hi William,
Hotdogs are filled with nitrates, sodium, preservatives, spices, chemicals and processed meat parts and fillers.    What are meat parts?   Well, it is not just the muscle, but ground up bone, intestines, organs, cartilage, feet, nails, etc.....
The label will sometimes specify what animal source they used...ie all beef or all pork franks....if the label isn't specific, then it will be a combo of whatever animal they choose.
